Born in New Orleans, Louisiana (the new Atlantis) and raised in 12 years of military school, Mike is a product of the emerging America of the 1960's and years of classical training. "Writing has always been a part of my life." says Mike "I was told as a child to be seen and not heard. Print became my visual voice." Mike' poetry and articles have been published in both the United States and Germany. Mike has won several awards for oetry. In 1993 his poem, "The Tatoo of St. Michael" received a pushcart nomination. Mike has published plays, short stories, poems, articles and books. Currently he has a murder mystery series to be released in February. Mike enjoys the craft of writing, paints, performs as an actor and is a martial artist of 31 years. Mike currently lives in the Austin, Texas area.

Mike has won several awards for poetry, acting and holds black belts in five different tyles of martial arts. Mike is an instructor in arate and tai chi. Awards for writing include Dallas Open Poetry Awards, Pushcart Nomination and a final place in the Faulkner Awards.
